One of the best things about Mancala is that because it's so ancient and widespread, there are countless variations on how to play. If you're bored with standard Kalah rules, try these variations!
Capture All
In this variation, if you land in an empty pit on your side, you capture the stone you just placed PLUS all stones in the opposite pit. This makes empty pits very dangerous!
Avalanche Mode
This is a fun one: if your last stone lands in a non-empty pit on your side, you pick up all stones in that pit (including the one you just dropped) and continue sowing. Your turn only ends when you land in an empty pit or your store.
